Education:  I hold a PhD in School Psychology from Michigan State University.  I also completed an Ed.S. degree in School Psychology and an MA in Educational Psychology from MSU. My bachelor’s degree is from the University of Michigan focusing in the areas of psychology, sociology and business.
Experience: I have served many different schools as a school psychologist, including public and private schools in urban, suburban and rural communities.  I have also worked in private practice and hospital settings in pediatric psychology/counseling.  I have been professor of psychology at Cornerstone University for 24 years and also serve as the Disability Accommodations officer overseeing student disability accommodations and programs at CU.
Favorite Bible Verse:  “See? I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the barren wasteland” (Isaiah 43:19)
What do I like best about NECS?  I savor being part of a community that loves and pursues Jesus, wants to grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Him, and are becoming uniquely who He calls us to be. It is a joy and privilege to see our students grow; make mistakes and seek His forgiveness; learn to love one another as Jesus does; and seek to give every part of themselves and their lives to Jesus. This NEC community learns together, worships together, prayers together, and seeks to live in God-honoring community together….it is a beautiful thing to be a part of!
