Along with promoting physical fitness and building the fundamental skills necessary for each team sport, we emphasize the development of a godly character, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
James Naismith created the game of basketball because he believed ‘he could better exemplify the Christian life through sports than in the pulpit.’ The teamwork, patience, and endurance our players learn all exemplify the Christian faith!
A co-ed volleyball program for 7th and 8th graders, providing a fun and competitive athletic opportunity for students. This program is a great way for students to stay active and learn teamwork skills, while also building their confidence on and off the court.
Softball demands a unique combination of physical fitness, mental toughness, strategic thinking, and teamwork that sets it apart from other sports. This same level of dedication and perseverance is also crucial in the journey of a Christian. To achieve spiritual victory, one must continuously strive to improve, overcome obstacles, and work in harmony with others.

What sports are offered at New Era Christian School?
We offer a range of sports for boys and girls, including softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and have lots of club activities in the area with other sports that our students are involved in.
What level of competition do New Era Christian School teams participate in?
Our teams compete in the Michigan Association of Christian Schools (MACS) league as well as local public schools. We believe that competition is important for personal growth and character development, and we strive to foster a culture of sportsmanship and fair play.
